Hello, Area K! My name is Mara Pugh, and I’m proud to serve as the Food Service Director for the Elwood Union Free School District. I truly enjoy working with our dedicated staff, students, and families to ensure every child has access to nutritious, delicious meals each day. This year, I’m excited to continue representing Area K for NYSNA and to collaborate with the Long Island Coop, a great group of knowledgeable and supportive directors across the island. Together, we’re always finding new ways to strengthen our programs and share ideas. Outside of work, I love spending time with my family and enjoy anything hockey-related. I’m looking forward to another great year ahead! ~ Mara ~
Mara Pugh AREA K DIRECTOR Mara Pugh is the Food Service Director for the Elwood UFSD in Elwood, NY. She has worked in the food service industry for over 20 years. She is now entering her 10th year in child nutrition and aims to ensure that every student has access to meals that fuel their day and support lifelong healthy eating habits. Outside of work you can usually find her at the nearest hockey rink with her husband, son and daughter.
