We keep seeing the same video of the shipping containers off the coast of California with our supplies on it and we all know that the serving trays we need are on those boats! This shortage of food and paper goods has been difficult to deal with, so what are you doing to work around this shortage?

Total Breakfasts & Lunches in September 2020 = 5,972 Total Breakfasts & Lunches in September 2021 = 13,754 Last year to this in September, we fed 7,782 MORE student meals Total Breakfasts & Lunches in October 2020 = 12,549 Total Breakfasts & Lunches in October 2021 = 19,384 Last year to this in October, we fed 6,835 MORE student meals In 42 school days, We served 14,617 MORE meals than the same time in 2020

KATY HEADWELL, RD • Eastern Area Director Katy Headwell is the Food Service Director at Shenendehowa Central Schools in Clifton Park, NY. She has been in her position for 9 years and loves being in school food service. She gets excited seeing students try new foods and working with great people. She enjoys spending time with her husband, son and 2 dogs.
