Executive Director’s Message

HEADQUARTERS

HEADQUARTERS

Dear NYSNA Members, We are very excited to debut the association’s new strategic plan! This was a lengthy and detailed process that took place over the summer, and your association leadership has done an amazing job charting the course for NSYNA for the next three years. The 2021-2023 planning group was comprised of sixteen board members and committee chairs, and they all traveled to the NSYNA headquarters office in Clifton Park for a three-day session (don’t worry - you know the NYSNA HQ team added some networking and fun into the mix). We made sure to show the group some of our favorite local dinner spots, and thanks to some beautiful weather, there was a cornhole tournament right in the parking lot. To prepare for the session we sent out a membership satisfaction survey to all NYSNA members back in April, and then that data was presented to the planning group to help guide their decision-making process as they developed the new strategic plan. NYSNA hired an amazing facilitator and a live illustrator to capture the process in an entertaining and cre - ative format. We want to share those pictures here with you so you can see how we brought color, holistic understanding, and visual energy to our process. These live illustrations were also a great way to give the participants a whole new point of engagement. We are looking forward to a new year and moving the association forward. - Jennifer -
